JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping all property equipment in good repair with minimal down time. Maintenance is also responsible for completing work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following company standards and procedures. As such, this position requires experience with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general building knowledge. This is a physically demanding position and will require the ability to lift/ carry up to 100 lbs, stand, climb, stoop, bend or kneel. Vision: peripheral, depth perception, close/ distant sight. Maintenance is responsible for the upkeep and repair of property. In addition, annual inspections for both facilities as well as a high amount of flexibility is required as there will be “On-call” shifts that you will be contacted for.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
  • Effectively utilize and maintain maintenance work order tracking.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
  • Ability to work under pressure situations and exercise good judgments.
  • Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
  • Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
  • Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.
  • To clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel.
  • To operate as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality.
  • To be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
  • To monitor fire Alarm / Life Safety System systems as necessary, to be fully informed of the system operation and to handle emergencies involving the systems.
  • Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdown.
  • Carry out specific oral and written instructions.
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed with approval.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Maintains the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Train and instruct other members of the staff through sharing of knowledge and skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned property management team.
  • Effectively communicate with the management team regularly regarding needed repairs and plan of action.
  • Maintain controls and procedures to ensure that the highest standards of maintenance are achieved.
  • Work closely with and gain a working knowledge of Front Desk, Housekeeping, Operations, and necessary aspects of Restaurant & Events Departments.
  • Liaison to and assist all company repair men.
  • Consistent inspection of the property and determine plan of action to repair any issues.
  • Upkeep of seasonal property maintenance (snow removal, lawn care etc.).
  • Follow state and company guidelines for maintaining hot tubs.
  • Pest control in coordination with a pest removal service.
  • Provide minimal service to Red River as time allows. Assist them with contracting for larger repairs.

Preferred candidate will have a service gas tech license and refrigeration experience. Must have your own reliable vehicle and be able to travel to numerous company locations.
