NRI North America is looking for a qualified IT Governance and Operations Analyst to join our professional services team that provides onsite support at school districts in Suffolk County. In this role, you will work closely with IT leadership to improve organizational clarity, establish baseline operational standards, and streamline IT governance. The primary focus of this role is technical documentation, process definition, compliance framework alignment, and user access auditing. You will translate complex operational workflows into clear, enforceable policies and support the scoping, coordination, and execution of key IT projects across client environments. This is a full-time opportunity that will be onsite 5 days per week and may require travel between various sites throughout the day.
Develop and maintain technical policy and compliance documentation aligned with NIST frameworks.
Author, refine, and support enforcement of core protocol and operational documents such as Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP), Incident Response Plans (IRP), IT Safety Plans, Password and Authentication Policies, and Chromebook and Mobile Device Governance Policies
Standardize and document end-to-end onboarding and offboarding procedures for staff and technicians.
Build and maintain a comprehensive software, user, and responsibility chart that maps system access and operational ownership across active software platforms.
Document technical workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistent service delivery.
Assist with the rollout, tracking, and enforcement of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) deployments.
Conduct routine user access audits across software applications and administrative portals to support compliance and appropriate privilege management.
Identify gaps in account provisioning, access controls, and policy compliance, and work with management to remediate risks.
Support project planning, requirements gathering, and scope definition for ongoing technical initiatives.
Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines while keeping key internal stakeholders informed.
Collaborate closely with team leadership on daily office-based operational management and documentation maintenance.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience as an IT Operations Analyst, IT Security Analyst, or Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Analyst.
Experience supporting technical projects, including requirements gathering, scope definition, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication.
xceptional technical writing skills, including experience creating operational SOPs, IT policies, and process workflows.
Exposure to or foundational understanding of security and compliance standards, such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
General administrative experience with cloud platforms, identity management, and SaaS applications.
Knowledge of MFA platforms and identity management protocols.
High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with senior technical leaders.
