Industrial Operations Specialist

As an Industrial Operations Specialist, you'll serve as a key contributor to operational performance by partnering with production, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams to improve how work gets done.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard work, and operating procedures.
- Coordinate and support operational projects from planning through implementation.
- Assist with production planning, workflow optimization, and resource utilization.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for operational challenges.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide recommendations based on data analysis.
- Evaluate equipment, tools, and processes to improve operational effectiveness.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of business objectives.
We're seeking individuals who are naturally curious, analytical, and energized by solving real-world manufacturing challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 0-5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, process improvement, production, project management, or continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable improvements.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence principles is preferred.
- Strong communication and project coordination skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software applications.
You may be a great fit if you:
At DIS-TRAN Steel, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact on our operations while gaining exposure to production, project management, continuous improvement, and business operations. This role provides an excellent foundation for future leadership opportunities within manufacturing and industrial operations.
