Senior Financial Operations Specialist

Ecochain is a fast-growing, purpose-driven B2B SaaS scale-up on a mission to make sustainability data accessible for 100M products by 2035. We build LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) automation platforms—Mobius and Helix—that help Industrial Manufacturers quantify, share, and reduce their environmental footprint with speed and scale.

Founded in 2011 in the Netherlands, we're now a team of 50+ professionals serving Construction Products and Industrial Equipment manufacturers across Benelux, DACH, and beyond. Our customers trust us to turn complex impact data into actionable insights, enabling them to meet compliance requirements (CPR, EPBD, ESPR) and build more sustainable products.

• Scale-up or SaaS experience—particularly recurring billing (proration, mid-term upgrades, monthly-to-annual conversions)

• Experience working alongside an external accountant rather than inside a large finance department

• Company size of roughly 30–150 people—big enough for real volume, small enough that you owned it

• B2B invoicing to international customers across multiple countries and currencies

• Dutch professional qualifications (PDB, MBA Moderne Bedrijfsadministratie, MBO/HBO bedrijfsadministratie)

• Having been through an audit or due-diligence process from the administration side

• You've owned a complete financial administration and can describe exactly where your responsibility started and stopped

• You take genuine pride in clean accounts—being audit-ready is just how you work, not a project you run in January

• You treat collections as a relationship job with a number attached, not as sending reminders

• You're clear and outcome-focused: you appreciate having simple, transparent goals so you always know what success looks like

• You want a permanent, well-organised 24-hour role that fits your life, and you're not looking to grow out of it next year

• You'd rather fix the cause of a recurring problem than get faster at handling it

• You're willing to tell a colleague—including a senior one—that a number or a contract term is wrong

• You've only ever been one specialist inside a large finance department—this role has nobody to hand work to

• You need fully remote work (we need you in the Amsterdam office during close week)

• You want to move into controlling or FP&A within a year—this is a permanent operations role and that ambition will frustrate you

• You're looking for a bonus—there isn't one here, deliberately

• You expect a full-time workload to be squeezed into 24 hours, or you expect 24 hours to mean 32

• You view part-time as "less accountability" rather than "same ownership, fewer hours"
