Edge is a managed global talent platform with thousands of professionals placed. Edge Cognara is our AI intelligence division — connecting frontier AI labs and enterprise AI teams with rigorously vetted domain experts for RLHF, post-training, model evaluations, and RL environments. We are competing in the AI training market with infrastructure most platforms are still trying to build. Led by our CTO (PhD in AI and ML)

 

The AI training and human intelligence market is moving fast. The platforms that define it over the next five years are being built right now — and the people who benefit most are those who get in before the valuation is set, before the seed round is priced, before the story is already written.

Edge has spent years building the infrastructure this market needs: employed talent, campus-based operations, HIPAA compliance, and a managed model proven in regulated industries. Edge Cognara is that infrastructure pointed directly at frontier AI development. We are not starting from zero.

 

Most platforms in this space run contractor networks. Cognara deploys employed, campus-based professionals with fully managed infrastructure. As AI labs face increasing compliance requirements, data provenance scrutiny, and churn from gig-based talent — and they will — we are the only platform already built for that world.

About the Role

You will be the first dedicated seller on Edge Cognara. You'll build the playbook from scratch and own the full sales motion — in exchange for a title, compensation, and equity stake that no equivalent role at a scaled company offers. You'll report directly to the CEO.

 

  • Full sales cycle — first outreach to signed contract — for AI labs and enterprise AI buyers
  • Pipeline targeting Tier 1 and Tier 2 AI labs and Fortune 500 enterprise AI teams running RLHF, evals, and agent training programs
  • Direct partnership with the CEO on ICP definition, pricing, and go-to-market positioning — your read on the market shapes our decisions
  • Relationships with investors, VC associates, and researchers who influence buying decisions at frontier labs
  • Representation at AI conferences, research summits, and industry events
  • The sales playbook — documented, tested, and ready for the next hire

 

  • 5+ years in enterprise or strategic sales; at least 2 years selling directly into AI labs, research organizations, or AI infrastructure buyers
  • Existing relationships at priority accounts — AI labs, frontier model teams, or enterprise AI organizations actively running post-training or evals programs
  • Track record of closing 6-figure+ contracts in a technical or emerging product category
  • Enough fluency in AI/ML to hold credibility in the room: RLHF, post-training, model evaluation, reinforcement learning — you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to keep the room's respect
  • A bias toward hunting and building, not maintaining existing accounts

 

  • Warm contacts at two or more priority AI lab or enterprise AI accounts right now
  • Experience as a first or second seller at a startup — you've seen what zero-to-one actually requires
  • A network among AI researchers, ML engineers, or technical buyers that is active and trusts your judgment
  • You've chosen early-stage before because the upside felt more real than the safety of scale
