Relief Catering Manager (Grahamstown)

Responsibilities: Provide relief management support across various catering sites as required. Oversee daily kitchen, dining, and catering operations to ensure excellent service delivery. Manage and supervise catering staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Ensure food quality, hygiene, health, and safety standards are consistently maintained. Control stock, ordering, budgets, and food costs to maximize operational efficiency. Maintain client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction at all times. Handle staffing challenges, operational issues, and last-minute site requirements effectively. Prepare management reports and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Requirements Proven experience in a Catering Manager, Unit Manager, or similar food service management role. Strong knowledge of food production, catering operations, and kitchen management. Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations. Ability to work flexible hours and travel between sites when required. Strong administrative, stock control, and budgeting skills. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license and reliable transport. Relevant hospitality, catering, or food service qualification will be advantageous.
