We are looking for a passionate, meticulous and dedicated Business Management teacher to teach secondary school pupils (IB Diploma Programme).

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspiring a love of social sciences, business management, economics, developing students’ creative, critical and analytical thinking, and preparing them for the academic demands of the DP.

Proposed Requirements for a potential IBDP BM teacher.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 
• Recognized teaching qualification. 
• IB Business Management training/certification is highly desirable. 
• At least three-years teaching experience preferably at IBDP level,  with IGCSE or other international curricula is an advantage. 

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

• Strong knowledge of the Business Management. If possible IB curriculum and assessment requirements. 
• Be ready to familiarize with IB command terms, assessment criteria, mark schemes and examination expectations. 
• Ability to teach both SL and HL Business Management. 
• Ready to acquire or possess a strong understanding of the Internal Assessment (IA) requirements and Extended Essay where applicable. 
• Ability to connect business theories and concepts to current real-world business situations. 
• Knowledge of areas such as marketing, finance, operations management, human resource management and business strategy. 

The ideal teacher should be:

• Student-centred and inquiry-driven in their teaching approach. 
• Able to develop engaging lessons using case studies, business news, simulations, debates, discussions and problem-solving activities. 
• Skilled at differentiating instruction for students with different abilities and learning needs. 
• Able to develop students' critical thinking, analytical, evaluative and decision-making skills. 
• Able to use technology and digital learning platforms effectively. 
• Capable of creating a positive, inclusive and academically challenging classroom environment. 

The teacher should be able to:

• Design and implement effective formative and summative assessments. 
• Provide constructive, timely and actionable feedback. 
• Analyse student performance data and adapt teaching accordingly. 
• Prepare students effectively for IBDP examinations. 
• Support students in developing high-quality IAs and other IB coursework. 
• Apply IB assessment criteria consistently and participate in standardization and moderation activities.

• Experience as an IB Business Management examiner. 
• Experience as an IA moderator or internal assessment coordinator. 
• Experience teaching both IBDP and IGCSE Business/Economics. 
• Experience developing Business Management schemes of work and curriculum plans. 
• Experience using platforms such as Toddle and  educational technologies. 
• Experience supervising Extended Essays. 
• Experience contributing to departmental leadership, curriculum development or professional learning communities.
