About the Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing Everway's presence across the education sector by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and generating sustainable revenue growth.

You'll work closely with colleagues across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and the wider Education division to develop pipeline opportunities, manage complex sales processes, and support educational organisations in identifying solutions that meet their needs.

Success in this role comes from building trusted relationships, maintaining a structured sales approach, and delivering value throughout the customer journey.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the education sector.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to support consistent revenue growth.
  • Develop territory and account plans to identify areas of opportunity and growth.
  • Manage opportunities throughout the full sales cycle, from qualification through to close.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across educational organisations.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, demonstrations, and business cases.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility through CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support successful customer outcomes.
  • Represent Everway at industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity, and education-sector trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activity.
  • Achieve agreed revenue, pipeline, and activity targets.
  • 3+ years' experience in B2B sales, business development, or consultative sales.
  • Demonstrated success generating revenue through new business acquisition and account growth.
  • Experience managing opportunities through a structured sales process.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at different organisational levels.
  • Experience managing pipeline, forecasting, and sales activity reporting.
  • Familiarity with SaaS or subscription-based business models.
  • Ability to analyse market opportunities and develop growth plans.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Experience within the education or EdTech sector.
  • Familiarity with MEDDICC or similar sales methodologies.
  • Understanding of education policy, procurement, or funding environments.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Experience using social selling channels such as LinkedIn.
  • Experience supporting accessibility and inclusion initiatives within education.
  • Experience using AI tools to support prospecting, research, workflow efficiency, or sales productivity.
