Firehouse Subs in Portland, Texas is hiring a full-time Shift Leader to lead our restaurant team during busy lunch and dinner shifts. If you have shift supervisor, team lead, or restaurant management experience in food service or retail, this job puts you on a path to Assistant Manager and General Manager with a group of 20+ Firehouse Subs locations.

Pay: $19–$22 per hour | Schedule: Full-time, 20–40 hours per week, 9:00 AM–10:00 PM

Shift Leader Responsibilities

Run assigned shifts as the shift manager, keeping guest service and food quality high
Train, coach, and motivate crew members and team members
Follow food safety, health, labor, and workplace safety rules
Help the General Manager with scheduling, inventory, opening and closing, and cash handling
Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and running smoothly
Help control food and labor costs and grow sales
Communicate clearly with the team and management

Shift Leader Qualifications

1+ year of leadership, supervisor, or shift lead experience in a restaurant, fast food, quick service (QSR), or retail
Strong communication and organizational skills
Open availability from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, including weekends
Able to stand for up to 13 hours and lift up to 50 lbs
Dependable, with a lead-by-example attitude
Food handler or ServSafe certification is a plus
