Gap International is seeking an experienced full-time chef to support food preparation for internal meetings and client events. This role is responsible for preparing fresh, healthy meals, maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen, and ensuring food service runs smoothly for employees and guests.

The Chef will be hands-on in the kitchen—preparing meals, planning menus, managing supplies, and supporting part-time kitchen staff during events. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and takes pride in delivering high-quality food and a seamless experience in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and help cook simple, healthy meals for quarterly all-company meetings and monthly client events.
  • Plan menus that are practical, thoughtful, and aligned with the needs of each event.
  • Coordinate and support part-time kitchen staff to ensure efficient preparation, service, and cleanup.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and help minimize waste while keeping the kitchen well stocked.
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure food is prepared and served on time.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent four-year culinary education.
  • 5 to 10 years of professional culinary experience, including experience as a Sous Chef or higher.
  • Professional catering and event-based culinary experience preferred.
  • ServSafe certification and strong knowledge of food safety practices.
  • Demonstrated strength in menu planning, knife skills, and culinary execution.
  • Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills.
  • Service-minded approach with attention to guest experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve and maintain kitchen processes and systems.
