Lucaya Service Company Limited, established in 1967, now has over fifty years of service in the maintenance and landscaping field, presently overseeing the maintenance of 47 subdivisions and approximately 882 miles of roads in the Lucaya area. The Taino Beach Bridge, falls within LUSCO’s purview and it shares the responsibility for the bridge maintenance with Tamarind Development Company Limited.
The Taino Beach Bridge provides the only means of ingress and egress to the southern portion of the Fortune Bay and Bell Channel Bay Subdivisions on the island of Grand Bahama and therefore it is critical that the condition of this infrastructure is addressed.
Job Summary:
This job requires an experienced Project Manager who will undertake responsibility for the management of the Taino Beach Repair Project, overseeing all phases of this project including planning, scheduling, and execution. The Project Manager will also serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors and internal teams, establishing, fostering, and facilitating good communication with all stakeholders. The responsibilities will include liaising with Engineer of Record and contracted Engineers on the Project and with the contractor.

Duties/ Responsibilities
- Assess project and prepare overall scope of work
- Co-ordinate with project teams i.e. engineering, bridge vendor, contractor
- Lead project meetings
- Attend field and site visits
- Consult with Media consultant and Project Coordinator regarding the preparation of PSA, Press releases and general media strategy.
- Prepare weekly reports for the Executive Team and biweekly reports for the relevant Company Boards and carry out additional reporting as required.
- Liaise with the legal team on the review and preparation of project specific contracts
- Liaise with Financial Controller and Financial Director on Project Budget, Payment Applications and rebilling to Tamarind Development.
- Ensure Project contractual timelines are adhered to and advise on significant deviations.
- Attend press conferences and prepare presentations on the project as required.
- Ensure that adequate records (electronic and visual) are organized and kept regarding the progress of the project.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Clear, confident communication abilities. Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project Management software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks under pressure.
Education, Certification, License & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field of study.
- Certified Project Manager designation
- Significant management and leadership experience preferably in Project Management.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and to lift at least 40 lbs.
- Must have the ability to bend, and flexibility with leg, arms, hand, and finger movements.
