→Design custom hardware and integrate off-the-shelf parts to expand what the company's robots can do in the field.
→Own the full design, structural analysis, and testing of actuators, grippers, and robotic arms built for industrial loads.
→Quickly build leader arms, remote-control rigs, and data-collection hardware, often within days to weeks.
→Work with machine learning, electrical, and deployment teams to turn physical needs into working robots.
→Take hardware from concept through analysis, fabrication, and live industrial use.

Requirements

0–4 years of experience in high-ownership mechanical engineering for robotics, actuators, or hardware products.
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. For junior candidates, a strong portfolio can stand in for the degree.
A visible portfolio of personal or independent hardware projects.
Experience in university robotics, motorsports (such as Formula SAE), or build clubs is highly valued.
Strong CAD skills and knowledge of designing parts for manufacturing.
Able to work on-site 6 days a week in San Francisco.
