Resident Specialist (Otorhinolaryngology)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide clinical and related services in the specialty.
2. Assist in supervising other Residents undergoing specialist training.
3. Assist in undertaking administrative work
4. Undergo continuing medical education and professional development.

Entry Requirements:

1. Registered medical practitioner under the Medical Registration Ordinance; and
2. Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Otorhinolaryngology) or equivalent; and

3. Registered in the Specialist Register in the relevant specialty of the Medical Council of Hong Kong.

    

Preferable Attributes/Exposure:

1. Staff members in the rank are expected to meet the 4 core competencies set for the Resident post. They are:

   1. Functional competency.

   2. Personal competency.

   3. People and team competency.

   4. Organization effectiveness.

2.  Candidates who have completed post-fellowship training in Otology and Neurotology are preferred.
