Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Hybrid - Bengaluru)

Hirefly has achieved great business success in less than 18 months. We work with a variety of paid customers ranging from seed-stage startups to Fortune 500 companies such as Lyft and Indeed. We are disrupting an enormous market - there are over 150 recruiting agencies in the US generating $100M+ in annual revenue. We raised $6.5M from top-tier investors and angels and have built out a stellar founding team. Our team is driven and nimble, possessing strong technical and business backgrounds from Google, Asana, Lyft, Meta, Amazon, Quora, and Harvard Business School.

We are looking to bring on a backend software engineer to build out customer-facing features for our web applications. We are looking for engineers who are excited to listen to the voice of the customer, work directly with Product Management and UX Designers to understand and scope new product features, define the implementation of these features end-to-end, and implement the required backend logic. 

• 3+ years of full-time employment working on web applications as a backend engineer
• Experience defining and writing Python APIs 
• Strong familiarity with software development best practices including version control, unit testing, performing code reviews, etc.
• Willingness to own and drive ambiguous problems in a small, fast-moving team
• Excitement to understand the product and business context behind technical workstreams

• Prior experience with one or more of the following technologies is a bonus: Flask, mongoDB, Celery, Vue.js
• Some familiarity with javascript/frontend concepts  - ability to make minor changes independently if needed, and interface with frontend engineers for more complicated changes, to implement features end to end
