Homeward takes the “what ifs” out of homebuying by creating financial products that give buyers and sellers certainty and convenience. We’re a fast-paced, remote-first real estate startup that partners with real estate agents to offer innovative products and services, helping clients buy with cash, sell with certainty, and time their move, regardless of the market.
Founder and CEO Tim Heyl, owner of one of the fastest-growing agent teams in the country, started Homeward in 2018 to fix the antiquated and broken real estate process. Today, we offer bundled cash offers, mortgage, and title services in 13 states, enabling buyers and sellers to move with certainty and convenience.
We’re a fully remote company with a diverse team spread across several countries - Grounded in three core values: The Golden Rule, One Team One Dream, and Calm Focus. Hear from our employees about what our values mean to them.
Homeward is building a stronger, faster, and more accountable Repairs organization. The Repairs Project Manager (PM) will own repair performance for an assigned portfolio of homes and serve as the construction subject matter expert for their pod(s). This role combines residential construction knowledge, project management, vendor negotiation, problem solving, and strong operational ownership to deliver against a key set of KPIs.
The PM will work closely with Homeward's market teams, approved vendors, and Property Coordinators to move homes through repairs quickly, at the right quality and at the right cost. This is not an administrative coordinator role—the PM is expected to make decisions, challenge scopes and pricing, solve complex repair issues, and own the outcome.

- →Review and pressure-test repair scopes to ensure work is necessary, appropriately scoped, and consistent with Homeward standards to deliver a strong ROI.
- →Negotiate vendor pricing, enforce established pricing tables, use Not-to-Exceed (NTE) limits, and seek competitive bids when appropriate.

- →Take a lead role on Market Sale repairs, where closing timelines require fast scoping, vendor coordination, and decision-making.
- →Lead emergency repair coordination, ensuring rapid vendor dispatch, timely mitigation of property damage, and effective communication with internal stakeholders through resolution.
- →Coordinate the filing and management of property insurance claims, including documenting losses, gathering supporting information, working with adjusters and vendors, and following claims through resolution.

- →Partner with GMs and our property listing teams on repair strategy, including whether work is necessary, how it should be scoped, and how to resolve repair requests efficiently.

- Strong working knowledge of common residential repair and renovation scopes, materials, trades, sequencing, and pricing.

- Strong judgment and comfort making decisions with imperfect information and tight timelines.
- Ability to manage multiple active properties and competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate construction issues for non-construction partners.

- Experience managing dispersed residential portfolios across multiple markets.
- Experience with an SFR operator, iBuyer, institutional homebuyer, fix-and-flip organization, or residential renovation platform.
- Experience sourcing specialty trades and building local vendor networks.
