Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find and fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. It is used by ITOps/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and MSSPs and MSPs.

About the Role

Horizon3.ai is redefining how organizations defend themselves against modern cyber threats. Our autonomous security platform, NodeZero, helps companies proactively find and fix vulnerabilities before attackers do.

We're looking for a Manager, Mid-Enterprise Sales Engineering to lead and develop a team of Sales Engineers supporting our Mid-Enterprise business. This role combines people leadership, technical sales strategy, and cross-functional partnership to help scale the team, improve technical win rates, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

Hire, coach, and develop Mid-Enterprise Sales Engineers. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and customer focus.

Establish best practices for discovery, demos, proof-of-value engagements, and technical deal strategy. Coach the team through complex opportunities and competitive situations.

Work closely with Sales leaders to drive pipeline progression, improve win rates, and support strategic customer engagements.

Develop onboarding, playbooks, and repeatable sales engineering motions that enable the team to scale effectively.

Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Enablement to improve customer outcomes and bring field feedback into the business.

  • 7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Solutions Architecture within cybersecurity

  • 2+ years of people leadership experience managing customer-facing technical teams

  • Experience supporting Mid-Market, Mid-Enterprise, and Enterprise sales motions

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including vulnerability management, identity, cloud security, and security operations

  • Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams

  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills

  • Experience managing complex technical sales cycles and proof-of-value engagements

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Located in U.S. EST or CST Time Zone

  • The Mid-Enterprise SE team consistently delivers high-quality customer engagements

  • Technical win rates and PoV success rates improve over time

  • Strong partnership exists between Sales, SEs, Customer Success, and Product teams

  • Sales Engineers are engaged, developing, and performing at a high level

  • Customers view the team as trusted advisors throughout the buying journey
