At Slim Chickens, every great guest experience begins with our Cook. This position is vital to our success — ensuring that every meal is prepared quickly, accurately, and with the highest quality. The Cook maintains pace and energy in the kitchen, delivering fresh, flavorful food that keeps our guests coming back.

  

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook all menu items      according to Slim Chickens’ recipes, portion standards, and quality      expectations.
  • Maintain an up-tempo work      ethic and high level of energy during busy lunch and dinner      rushes.
  • Quickly and efficiently bread,      fry, and assemble menu items — ensuring speed and consistency.
  • Monitor and maintain fryer oil      quality by properly filtering and cleaning equipment.
  • Keep all kitchen work areas,      equipment, and utensils clean, sanitized, and organized.
  • Follow all food safety, health,      and sanitation guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with team      members and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Provide leadership and direction      to fellow kitchen staff when needed.
  • Interact courteously with guests      and teammates, always representing the Slim Chickens brand with      professionalism.

  

Requirements

  • Willingness to work a flexible      schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for      long periods as needed.
  • Frequent contact with guests,      requiring tact, courtesy, and a positive attitude.
  • Frequent contact with team      members, requiring effective communication, direction, and teamwork.
  • Must be able to lift at least 20      pounds
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and      squat frequently. 

  

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, and      communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Strong math skills and      comfort working with numbers.
  • Basic computer proficiency      for KDS and kitchen systems.
  • Demonstrates maturity,      professionalism, and self-discipline at all times.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and      team-oriented personality.
  • Maintains a well-groomed,      professional appearance.
  • Consistently displays a positive      attitude and enthusiasm for delivering excellent food and service.
