As we expand our RV Sales operations across multiple countries, the RV Sales Regional Lead becomes a critical commercial leader, driving commercial activity remarketing of our fleet via the three main channels B2C (private customers), B2B (partners) and B2A (auctions) across the entire North America (NAM) region. Furthermore, this role has as a key mission to ensure that every district and city executes world-class sales processes, maximises conversion, and delivers exceptional customer experiences, while directly influencing district profitability.
As the Regional Sales Lead for the North America region, you will drive the RV Sales development and KPIs in North America, across all sales channels: B2B (professionals), B2A (auctions) and B2C (private customers). Furthermore, you will hold P&L responsibility for the RV Sales business unit in the region, working alongside functional peers and with District Leads and City Leads to develop and grow the defleet capabilities in the region and achieve profitability. As part of the challenge, you will build the commercial roadmap and retail infrastructure for the region (leveraging pre-existing depot/city teams and resources), alongside building a team of inside sales and fulfillment sitting in our Regional HQ for North America located in Mexico City.
Based in our Mexico City Office, you will report directly/functionally to the VP of RV Sales and indirectly to the North America Managing Director, collaborating with all other functional and regional teams/capabilities across operations, finance, HR, marketing, and Product & Engineering.
- You will be responsible for driving sales of Indie Campers leisure vehicles (campervans and motorhomes) as a key part of our RV Sales business unit, covering the full scope of the North American market.
- Identify opportunities and design a long-term, sustainable, and reliable strategy for the sale of our own current and future fleet by understanding the cycle between vehicle acquisition, rental, and then remarketing through RV Sales.
- Implement the sales strategy for B2B & third-party dealership networks, and other third-party channels (e.g. auction platforms) for the North America region.
- Creating sales processes leveraging existing company capabilities and our rental business infrastructure and resources to deliver sales results, operational excellence, and customer experience.
- Train field ops on RV Sales goals and procedures (customer demo/visit, handover, vehicle prep) and guarantee “buy in” and alignment with the RV Sales plan.
- Support hiring of NAM commercial team in the Regional office in Mexico City
- Network within OEMs, dealerships and/or consumer credit companies;
RV Sales (Defleet / Remarketing)
- Drive sales/remarketing of Indie Campers recreational vehicles (campervans and motorhomes) as the regional leader of our RV Sales business unit, covering the full scope and P&L of the North American market (USA and Canada).
- Identify opportunities and design a long-term, sustainable, and reliable strategy for the sale of our own current and future fleet by understanding the cycle between vehicle acquisition, rental, and then remarketing through RV Sales.
- Build and nurture key regional B2B commercial relationships with partners (e.g. dealerships, traders, brokers) to drive recurring remarketing of our fleet via both direct sales and fleet consignments.
- Drive B2A sales in the NAM region via the planning and execution of auctions across all the districts and locations, monitoring and deciding on sales within target/budget.
- Drive B2C sales for the region via regional ad placement/management and an effective inside sales team focused on converting inbound leads and organizing customer visits to demo vehicles in coordination with the District RV Sales Leads and local operations teams.
- Create commercial processes leveraging existing company capabilities and our rental business infrastructure and resources to deliver sales results, operational excellence, and customer experience.
- Develop/mature sales fulfillment processes across the region to guarantee on-time and high quality quality standards for delivering on our commercial contracts.
- Hire and train a commercial team of inside sales professionals based in our Regional HQ in Manila, focused on both inbound B2C and outbound B2B sales.
- Support the hiring and training of multiple District RV Sales Leads who will manage RV Sales locally across the multiple locations in NAM region, ultimately having indirect reporting line over them.
- Train and coach Operations teams (regional and Local Operations) on RV Sales goals and procedures (customer demo/visit, handover, vehicle prep) and guarantee “buy in” and alignment with the RV Sales plan.
- Network within OEMs, dealerships and/or consumer credit companies alongside our Finance and Procurement teams;
Commercial Planning & Analytics
- Support regional asset planning: define model mix, timing of purchases, and sales forecasts based on utilization and depreciation models.
- Analyze ROI, cost of ownership, and resale performance to guide future purchasing and disposal decisions.
- Benchmark competitors and market trends to inform strategy and maintain leadership in the campervan segment.
Commercial Team Management
- Monitor daily/weekly KPIs (units sold, revenues, gross margins, inventory turnover, conversion rate, etc.) in combination with District RV Sales leads and City leads.
- Conduct weekly district sales reviews with each District RV Sales Lead in NAM and take corrective actions with urgency when gaps arise and adjusting district sales forecasts, resource needs, and sales plans based on seasonality, stock availability, and local performance.
- Visit key depots/cities quarterly to assess execution, shadow demos/visits, evaluate customer experience, and calibrate sales effectiveness.
- Professional experience in sales of 7 to 10 years, driving a commercial function and growth covering multiple geographies (ideally US and Canada) at either:
- A leading automotive OEM with experience in dealerships OR;
- A fast-growing scale-up with a leadership position in a related sector;
- Experience building and scaling commercial retail teams and/or inside sales teams.
- Solid understanding of vehicle lifecycle economics, including depreciation, resale, and market dynamics.
- Experience with implementing sales of financial products (e.g. consumer credit, insurance) is greatly valued.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in commercial planning, pricing, or P&L management.
- Entrepreneurial drive: comfortable owning results, making data-driven decisions, and moving fast in a scaling environment.
- Experience with “greenfield” set-up of new business units and/or new market-entry.
- Commercially-oriented mindset with great communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport with customers and long-term partnerships with external partners in multiple regions and cultures.
- Identifies with the following characteristics. customer-oriented, self-driven, high sense of urgency and ownership, adaptive, hard-working and a team player.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written) is mandatory, proficiency in Spanish is a strong plus.
