About the Role:

 

We are looking for a German-speaking Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Cape Town team. This role is ideal for someone with some prior experience in outbound sales who is eager to build their career within the global cybersecurity industry.

 

As an SDR, you will play a key role in building a strong sales pipeline by engaging with senior stakeholders across international markets. Working closely with the Sales team, you will identify, connect with, and qualify prospective customers via phone, email, and LinkedIn—laying the foundation for successful sales opportunities.

 

Success in this role requires resilience, curiosity, and the ability to handle objections while maintaining focus and momentum.


Requirements:

 

  • Outbound Sales Experience: Proven experience making successful outbound B2B calls.
  • Lead Generation Skills: Proven ability to independently source and generate leads using tools such as LinkedIn and online research
  • Interest in Technology: Strong interest in technology with the ability to learn quickly, especially in cybersecurity.
  • Collaborative mindset: A team player who values collaboration and contributes to a positive team culture.
  • Drive and Energy: Highly motivated, disciplined, and target-driven with a proactive approach
  • Professional Confidence: Comfortable engaging and building relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Growth Mindset: Eager to learn, open to feedback, and committed to continuous development.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in German and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Education: Tertiary qualification preferred (Degree or Diploma).



Roles and Responsibilities:



The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Sourcing and qualifying leads through LinkedIn and online research
  • Reaching out to prospective clients via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Identifying and connecting with key decision-makers
  • Understanding prospects’ IT environments, cybersecurity needs, and business priorities
  • Aligning client needs with relevant solutions
  • Securing and scheduling meetings for the Business Development team
  • Following up with prospects after meetings or marketing events
  • Managing next steps and maintaining engagement with potential clients
  • Building and nurturing a strong network of relationships
  • Keeping all activity up to date in CRM systems (Salesforce)
