Responsibilities
~1 min readYou will ensure that RFID tag solutions perform reliably and efficiently in real-world retail applications. By planning and executing validation tests, analyzing RF performance and supporting new product development initiatives, you will help bring innovative RFID technologies from concept to successful deployment. Working closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers, you will contribute to the development, optimization and continuous improvement of RFID products within our Innovation Center.
· Conduct RF performance measurements, characterization and benchmarking of RFID tags and related technologies.
· Simulate and evaluate RFID use cases across distribution centers and retail stores, including receiving, shipping, inventory counting, self-checkout and loss prevention applications.
· Assess RFID tag performance on different materials, merchandise categories, tag placements and orientations to identify optimal implementation strategies.
· Test and validate RFID printer and encoder compatibility, processability and operational reliability.
· Plan, execute and document laboratory and field test campaigns, ensuring accurate data collection and professional reporting of results.
· Analyze test data using statistical tools to identify trends, performance improvements and root causes of technical issues.
· Support new product development activities by contributing technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle, from concept validation to market introduction.
· Participate in the evaluation, development and implementation of new RFID technologies, equipment and innovation initiatives within the RFID Innovation Center.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues, support product qualification activities and manage claims effectively.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance product performance, testing methodologies and operational processes.
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, such as Telecommunications, Electronics, RF/Microwave Engineering, Automation, Computer Science or similar.
· Understanding of product development and industrialization processes, from concept validation through to implementation.
· Knowledge of RF technologies, antenna principles and electronic systems.
· Understanding of RFID technologies, applications and performance considerations.
· Experience using statistical methods and data analysis tools to interpret test results and support decision-making.
· Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
· Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
· Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex technical challenges through a structured and logical approach.
