This leadership role is responsible for accelerating revenue growth across commercial real estate and facility management services.
You’ll develop and execute sales strategies while owning the customer journey from initial prospecting through contract execution.
The position combines hands-on business development with sales team leadership, starting with one direct report and expanding as the organization grows.
You’ll build relationships with property managers, commercial real estate stakeholders, and prospective clients to create new opportunities and long-term partnerships.
Success will require strong consultative selling, commercial negotiation, pipeline management, and close collaboration with operations.
You’ll also help shape customized service solutions, pricing, proposals, and contracts while ensuring a smooth transition from sales to service delivery.
This is an opportunity for a self-directed sales leader to have a meaningful impact on growth, customer relationships, and the development of a scaling commercial organization.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans designed to achieve revenue and business growth objectives.
- Recruit, train, manage, and develop sales personnel, beginning with one direct report and potentially growing the team to up to four members as staffing expands.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new commercial real estate and facility management clients through networking, referrals, targeted outreach, and industry events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to uncover new opportunities, additional services, and long-term partnerships.
- Own the full sales cycle, including lead generation, needs assessment, proposal development, presentations, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to develop customized service solutions that address customer requirements while supporting profitability.
- Partner with operations on pricing, proposals, and contracts while ensuring compliance with internal policies and approval processes.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide leadership with regular forecasts, activity reports, and relevant market updates.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive position.
- Work closely with operations during customer onboarding to ensure a seamless transition from sales to service delivery.
- Represent the organization at networking events, industry associations, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Maintain accurate customer information, sales activities, and opportunity tracking within the CRM system.
- Support high levels of customer satisfaction by responding promptly to customer needs and helping resolve concerns throughout the sales process.
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership on business development initiatives and efforts to strengthen market awareness.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational growth and commercial objectives.
Requirements

- At least 5 years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably within commercial real estate services, facility management, building maintenance, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales goals and revenue targets.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, customer relationship management, and business development skills.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to analyze sales data, develop accurate forecasts, and identify commercially relevant opportunities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with operations, leadership, marketing, and other teams.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer locations, networking events, meetings, and other business activities as needed.
- Experience selling commercial building maintenance, engineering, janitorial, or facility management services is preferred.
- Existing relationships within commercial real estate, property management, or facility management networks are a strong advantage.
- Experience responding to RFPs and developing tailored service proposals is preferred.
- Knowledge of contract negotiation and commercial service agreements is advantageous.
- Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or comparable CRM and sales management platforms is a plus.
