The Strategic Account Manager / Sales Engineer will manage and grow strategic customer relationships within the semiconductor industry.
This role combines consultative sales, technical understanding, account development, and long-term customer partnership to drive revenue growth.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop compelling sales strategies, and expand the installed base of semiconductor test equipment.
The position requires strong ownership across the customer lifecycle, from installations and upgrades through forecasting, quoting, and order booking.
You will act as a trusted advocate for customers while aligning their needs with broader business and product strategies.
This is a remote opportunity for a locally based candidate, offering significant autonomy and exposure to complex capital equipment sales.

- Strategic Account Management: Build, cultivate, and maintain meaningful relationships with key stakeholders across strategic customer accounts, developing trusted partnerships that support long-term growth.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective account and sales strategies in collaboration with internal teams to identify opportunities, secure new business, and increase customer engagement.
- Business Development: Discover and pursue new business opportunities while expanding the existing customer base and installed equipment footprint to generate additional engineering and production business.
- Customer Advocacy: Serve as a strong advocate for customer needs, ensuring issues, opportunities, and requirements are understood and addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Account Growth: Identify opportunities to increase market share and expand the use of semiconductor test solutions across customer engineering and production environments.
- Business Management: Oversee key aspects of account activity, including tester installations and upgrades, sales coordination, service and support arrangements, competitive sales processes, and product roadmap alignment.
- Commercial Planning: Manage forecasting, quoting, order booking, and other sales activities while maintaining accurate and timely information across multiple accounts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, service, support, and other internal stakeholders to coordinate customer activities and deliver solutions aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
- Customer Proposals: Develop and support compelling business proposals that clearly communicate value and address customer requirements.
Requirements
~2 min read- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience is required; an MBA is considered a plus.
- Industry Experience: At least 10 years of overall professional experience, including 5+ years in capital equipment sales within the semiconductor industry or a related field.
- Semiconductor & ATE Knowledge: Experience with semiconductor automated test equipment or a closely related technology environment is strongly preferred.
- Sales Performance: Demonstrated success in identifying and securing new business opportunities while growing and expanding existing customer accounts.
- Account Development: Strong ability to develop long-term customer relationships, understand stakeholder priorities, and turn customer needs into commercial opportunities.
- Customer Orientation: Highly responsive and customer-focused, with the ability to advocate effectively for customer requirements while balancing broader business objectives.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
- Organization: Detail-oriented and process-driven, with strong time-management skills and the ability to independently manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Business Judgment: Ability to understand complex customer requirements, develop appropriate strategies, and coordinate multiple commercial and technical activities.
- Automotive Requirement: Must be able to carry the minimum required auto liability insurance due to automotive responsibilities.
