Warehouse Driver's Helper

Job Summary

The Driver's Helper is responsible for riding along with the driver and helping the driver maintain the truck. He is also responsible for providing assistance to warehouse staff so that tasks are accomplished in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assists with loading delivery vans.

1. Travels with driver and helps with unloading.

1. Interacting with customers on deliveries.

1. Helps with keeping dispatch area organized.

1. Assists with waiting customers when needed.

1. Helps with keeping warehouse clean and tidy at all times.

1. Executes any other duty assigned by management.

Organizational Relationships

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor (Dispatch/Picking & Packing) and interacts regularly with other warehouse staff.

Requirements - Education and Experience 

The Warehouse Helper must have a high school diploma or general education certificate. He/she must be courteous with a willingness to follow instructions and work in a team.

Physical and Emotional Demands

He/she must have the physical ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job, which may include, but not limited to standing, bending, lifting and carrying loads up to 40 pounds. This is a position that requires dealing with difficult personalities and conflicts while maintaining a consistently professional and calm demeanor.
