Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to provide clerical assistance, in English and Spanish to the Healthy Families, Integrated Maternal Health Services, and Mobile Integrated Health Programs, both in the office and during community visits and related activities. This position will maintain and process various information, forms and data in paper and electronic formats, including statistical and performance measuring reporting data. Main duties include receiving program referrals, facilitating program administration, gathering clinical data, assisting with program reporting, following procurement policies and procedures to order program materials, and performing other administrative duties as requested. This position will also provide English-Spanish translation services to the clients and the department when requested. Additionally, this position will also learn to use interpretation assisted devices to meet client and program needs.\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:� �Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \r\nExperience: Two years performing secretarial or clerical work involving typing duties. \r\nNotes: \r\n1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.\r\n2. Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience. \r\n3.�Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Administrative Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.��\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should possess the following:\r\n\r\n\r\n Bilingual in the English and Spanish languages\r\n Clerical experience in a clinical environment\r\n Health care experience\r\n\r\n\r\n
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated ability to accurately type on a keyboard of a personal computer at a minimum of forty words per minute may be required, depending on the specific requirements of the position.\r\n
