Location: Reading, Office based

This dynamic role offers the opportunity to grow your skills while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment.  At OP, we're looking for a motivated and proactive Business Development Manager to join our team and play a key role in driving new business across the workplace design and build sector.  This is a high-impact role where your energy, initiative, and commercial instinct will directly contribute to the continued success of a business known for delivering exceptional workplace experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing:

 

  • Conduct high-volume outbound calling and strategic outreach via LinkedIn, CoStar, and industry databases to research, identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Generate high-quality leads and build, manage, and develop a forward-looking pipeline of high-value opportunities, proactively advancing prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Enrich CRM records with detailed intelligence on prospective clients, maintaining accurate and actionable data.
  • Keep the CRM clean and up to date, ensuring contact details, activity notes, and lead statuses are consistently maintained.
  • Work closely with the wider Business Development, Marketing, Account Management, and Project Director teams to align outreach strategies, share market intelligence, and support the conversion of opportunities.
  • Coordinate tailored collateral and communications for prospects, ensuring a professional and consistent client experience.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market activity, and emerging opportunities to enhance prospect conversations and identify new avenues for growth.
  • Seek feedback, continuously refine your approach, and share valuable insights to support team performance and business development objectives.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • 1 years minimum experience in a Business Development type role (preferably within workplace design fit-out or comparable industry).
  • A proactive, results-driven individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable with high-volume calling and confident using platforms like LinkedIn and CoStar.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for CRM management.
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • A driven and motivated individual who is forward thinking and resilient.
