Electrical Engineer
Quick Summary
About us: iconic brand, tiny company Polaroid was founded in 1937 by one of the most seminal innovators of the 20th century, Edwin Land. His motto was, "don't undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible." In 2008, Polaroid shuttered its last factory, but diehard…
Design and develop electrical systems, modules, and subsystems for analog camera products. Define and drive camera electrical architecture, interfaces, and power delivery solutions.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field. 5–10 years of hands-on experience in electrical hardware design, preferably within camera, imaging, or consumer electronics products.
Responsible for the electrical and hardware design of Polaroid instant film analog camera systems, including schematics, PCB layout guidance, prototyping, testing, debugging, validation, and system integration.
You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Industrial Design, Marketing, Product Development teams, and external engineering partners to deliver reliable, high-quality hardware solutions that meet cost, schedule, safety, and regulatory requirements.
This role plays a key part throughout the full product development lifecycle — from feasibility studies and prototype validation to mass production — including root cause analysis, EMI/EMC optimization, and evaluation of new hardware technologies and platforms.
