Company Overview

We are a growing commercial furniture company delivering high-quality, design-forward furniture solutions for offices, hospitality, healthcare, and other commercial environments. Our success is built on strong relationships, proactive outreach, and a consultative approach to helping clients create exceptional spaces.

We’re currently looking for a motivated Junior Sales Representative to join our team and help expand our pipeline through consistent prospecting and new business development.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their sales career who is eager to learn, enjoys connecting with new people, and wants to grow within a supportive and high-performing team. You’ll gain hands-on experience, work alongside experienced sales professionals, and receive mentorship that helps you develop into a full-cycle sales professional.

Our team takes pride in a collaborative culture, strong mentorship, great benefits, and fun company events that make this more than just a job—it’s a place to build a career.

Position Overview

The Business Development Representative is a front-line, new-business-focused role responsible for generating and qualifying new sales opportunities. You’ll spend the majority of your time identifying potential clients, initiating conversations, and setting meetings for yourself and the senior sales team.

Over time, this role is designed to grow into a full sales position, where you’ll manage your own accounts and opportunities from start to finish.

Core Responsibilities

New Business Development & Prospecting

  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, and in-person outreach.
  • Build and manage a targeted list of prospects including:
    • Corporate offices and businesses
    • Property managers and developers
    • Architects and interior designers
    • General contractors and facilities teams
  • Consistently meet daily and weekly activity goals (calls, emails, meetings set).
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine project fit, budget, and timeline.

Pipeline & Meeting Generation

  • Schedule introductory meetings, showroom visits, and discovery calls with potential clients.
  • Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand client needs and upcoming projects.
  • Hand off qualified opportunities to senior sales reps or progress them independently as your skills develop.
  • Maintain an active and healthy pipeline focused on new business.

Sales Process Support

  • Assist with basic product recommendations and early-stage budget estimates.
  • Support senior reps with follow-up, proposal coordination, and next steps on active opportunities.
  • Track opportunity progress and ensure timely follow-up with prospects.

CRM & Reporting

  • Accurately log prospecting activity, notes, and next steps in the CRM system.
  • Track personal activity metrics, meetings set, and opportunities generated.
  • Participate in regular pipeline and activity review meetings.

Learning & Development

  • Learn commercial furniture product lines, pricing structures, and applications.
  • Develop consultative selling and discovery skills through training and mentorship.
  • Shadow senior reps on client meetings, site walks, and project presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with new contacts.
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and handling rejection.
  • Highly motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to follow-through.
  • Experience with CRM systems or LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
  • Interest in commercial furniture, interiors, architecture, or the built environment is preferred.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently generating new qualified meetings and opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining a strong personal prospect list and pipeline.
  • Demonstrating steady improvement in discovery, qualification, and closing skills.
  • Progressing toward managing opportunities independently within 6–12 months.

Compensation & Growth

  • Competitive base salary plus commission or spiff structure tied to new business activity.
  • Clear career path into a Sales Representative or Account Executive role.
  • Ongoing training, mentorship, and exposure to large commercial projects.
