Shuttle & Transport Driver

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We're seeking a responsible and courteous driver to transport beneficiaries and employees while representing The Salvation Army with professionalism. This role is crucial in ensuring safe and timely transportation services while maintaining vehicle safety and security.

• →Transport program participants to and from work therapy assignments
• →Transport Salvation Army personnel for official business
• →Deliver packages and inter-office mail as requested
• →Plan and execute daily route coverage efficiently
• →Ensure safety and security of assigned vehicle
• →Responsible for loading and unloading during deliveries
• →Secure vehicle at end of day
• →Ensure all passengers are treated courteously
• →Support the mission of The Salvation Army

• Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel
• Reach with hands and arms
• Frequently required to stand and walk
• Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Must regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds
• Frequently lift/move up to 100 pounds
• Occasionally lift/move more than 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception
• Must wear back guard when doing substantial lifting or moving

• At least two years licensed driving experience
• Passing grade on the "Coaching the Experienced Driver" self-study course (or willing to complete)
• Valid driver's license to operate location's truck types
• Clear MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) report
• Strong communication skills with customers and helpers
• Basic math skills

• Truck and warehouse environments
• Exposure to outdoor temperature and humidity variations
• Operation of two-way radio equipment
