Scope is a registered provider under the NDIS and delivers a range of services including supported independent living, therapy and employment services in over 420 service locations across Victoria and NSW.
We currently have a role within our Business Development team to suit an individual that has an understanding of the disability sector, or similar and can forge meaningful relationships with our customers, their families and support networks to help them to lead a life of their choice.
As a Business Development Manager for Supported Independent Living (SIL), you will play a pivotal role in helping people with disability access high-quality housing and support services that enable them to live more independently. Working across the NDIS sector, you will build strong relationships with support coordinators, hospitals, families, allied health professionals, and community partners to identify and support potential customers.
This position is based in our Hawthorn - hybrid - and managing the North Eastern Metropolitan geographic portfolio. You will be adept at building referral networks & meaningful relationships with passion and pride, across the disability sector and enjoy working for an organisation that is leading the way.
The Business Development Manager will contribute to driving growth by collaborating to expand Scope’s market presence, build strong referral pathway partnerships and attract new business.
You will proactively listen to clients, their support networks (e.g. families) and our people and draw on evidence and best practice approaches to contribute to transforming our client experience to empower our clients to belong, thrive and live their dreams, now and into the future.
You will actively manage a pipeline of referrals, match participants to suitable SIL vacancies, and guide customers through their transition journey from enquiry to move-in. Success in this role requires exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, strong commercial acumen, and a customer-centred approach
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively engage with and genuinely listen to clients, their support networks (e.g. families) and our people to inform plans, initiatives, tools and/or solutions to drive growth and expand Scope’s market share.
- Manage others to deliver Client Acquisition and/or Retention services; assuring accuracy, quality and compliance with legal, regulatory and budget requirements.
- Analyse the operating environment and apply commercial acumen and judgment to identify, evaluate and/or advance opportunities to expand business operations, including markets, industries and/or client segments.
- Engage, navigate and harness diverse stakeholder networks to generate and realise sales opportunities; keeping stakeholders informed and connected.
- Expertise in sales and/or marketing processes and practices.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting research and analysis to develop actionable insights to generate and/or convert business development opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and/or negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes, including stakeholders with diverse communication needs.
- Experience in the disability services sector or similar; or the ability to rapidly adapt to the sector.
