DISTRIBUTION SALES PROGRAM MANAGER
WORK AUTHORIZATION

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Distribution Sales Program Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of Key Account and Channel Partner programs, including special pricing agreements, rebates, contracts, and internal and external channel partner reporting. This is a key role for SMA America, supporting a portfolio of key accounts and distribution partners that represent a significant portion of revenue generated across all business segments.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and maintain contract renewal schedules for Distribution Accounts.
- Strengthen channel partner relationships, drive program effectiveness to support revenue growth, and ensure alignment between business objectives and channel execution.
- Serve as the critical liaison between channel partners, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective execution, administration, and performance of distribution sales programs and initiatives.
- Manage and maintain special pricing agreements (SPAs) with Key Accounts through Distribution, ensuring compliance, accurate documentation, and continuous process improvement.
- Track and report Key Account Distribution Account performance relative to contract and rebate obligations.
- Lead and drive monthly meetings and QBRs with key Distribution Accounts, managing action items and meeting minutes.
- Collect, maintain, and analyze point of sale data at Distribution, delivering actionable reporting to Key Account stakeholders.
- Manage monthly order and revenue reports by region and sub-region, tracking Point-of-Sale, After Sale, and Installed Base data.
- Support Distribution Channel pricing, Customer Fact Sheets, and sales quotes, ensuring all documentation and pricing is facilitated to customers.
- Act as Right Signer on all pricing requests and implementation.
- Manage deliverables required to complete Key Account and Sales projects on time, tracking relevant metrics and driving action items to conclusion.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure completion of commitments related to pricing, quotes, timelines, quality, and business metrics.
- Serve as an escalation point of contact for customer issues, Distribution Channel issues, quotes, and Sales.
- Maintain excellent customer relations with Key Accounts and Distributors.
- Ensure proper documentation is in place for all sales programs, working closely with implementation across other departments.
- Manage internal systems and processes to ensure sales process flow and execution, and facilitate trainings for internal and external teams.
- Other duties as may be required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or business is required.
- 5 years of experience in Sales Administration, Program Management, Project Management, or Sales is required.
OTHER SPECIALIZED SKILLS
- Positive, confident attitude with customers, with proven and consistent responsiveness, punctuality, and precision in written reports.
- Knowledge of the solar industry, solar inverters, Core Service, or Distribution is preferred.
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is required. German and/or Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
- Organized, with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and drive process improvements.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to facilitate effective meetings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate with internal business units, stakeholders, Sales, and external Channel and Key Account stakeholders.
- This position may require periodic domestic and international travel, including attendance at domestic industry trade shows.
