Sr. Backend Engineer (FAM)

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services, APIs, and system components for the FunaloMAX platform. Support platform enhancements, new feature development, technical improvements, system maintenance, and business-requested changes. Maintain and improve backend integrations with internal systems, gaming-related services, payment providers, reporting tools, third-party vendors, and operational platforms. Analyze business and technical requirements, identify backend impact, and propose practical implementation solutions. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, implement fixes, and support timely incident resolution. Improve backend system performance, reliability, scalability, monitoring, logging, and error handling. Review and enhance existing backend code, database queries, API flows, and service logic to improve maintainability and stability. Collaborate with frontend engineers, QA engineers, DevOps, product owners, business users, vendors, security, and compliance stakeholders. Participate in code reviews and ensure backend implementation follows engineering standards, security requirements, and platform best practices. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, integration notes, troubleshooting guides, and support handover materials. Support release activities, deployment validation, production verification, and post-release monitoring. Mentor junior or mid-level engineers when required and contribute to backend engineering best practices. Requirements Solid professional experience in backend software development. Hands-on experience with backend programming languages such as Java, Node.js, Go, C#, Python, or other relevant backend technologies. Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs, backend services, and service-to-service integrations. Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle. Experience with backend troubleshooting, production support, log analysis, performance tuning, and issue resolution. Good understanding of API authentication, authorization, data validation, transaction handling, error handling, and backend security practices. Familiarity with version control, CI/CD processes, deployment workflows, and software development lifecycle practices. Ability to work with existing systems, understand legacy or inherited code, and improve maintainability without unnecessary disruption. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience supporting online gaming, casino systems, gaming platforms, fintech, payment systems, e-commerce, or other high-transaction digital platforms. Experience handling third-party vendor integrations and external platform dependencies. Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, microservices, message queues, caching, or distributed system design. Experience with monitoring, observability, incident response, production support, and performance optimization. Understanding of secure coding, data privacy, access control, audit logging, regulatory requirements, and compliance-driven environments. Experience working on platform migration, platform stabilization, technical debt reduction, or backend modernization initiatives.
