Internal Fleet Driver

• →Support loading, driving, and unloading of flight, non-flight, fabrication, and tooling items between SpaceX sites at Vandenberg Space Force Base
• →Safely load trucks at pickup points, and transport truckload to destination following the rules of the road at all times
• →Safely load and unload trucks at designated drop off points
• →Ensure truckload contents are secure for safe and undamaged delivery to destination
• →Scan barcodes meeting business WMS requirements
• →Review all documentation for correct items to be delivered, and confirm precise delivery area
• →Maintain all applicable documents (paperwork) related to items being delivered to ensure they are not damaged during delivery
• →Monitor service records of the vehicle when driving, and report all problems to manager immediately
• →Ensure the cleanliness of vehicle, and monitor refueling when low
• →Contact immediate supervisor during emergencies, and provide detailed information to remedy issues

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 2+ years of professional commercial driving experience
• 1+ years of professional forklift experience 

• Counter-balance sit-down forklift experience 
• Material handling and heavy-haul driving experience (over 26k GVW)
• Experience driving for a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
• Strong customer-service delivery background
• CDL Hazmat endorsement
• CDL Tanker endorsement

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Clean DMV record
• Ability to pass Air Force background check for Vandenberg Space Force Base
• Ability to work the following shift, overtime, and weekends as needed to reach critical mission milestones:
  • 11:00am - 9:30pm, Tuesday-Saturday
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted; lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
