As a Software Engineer, Backend, you will drive the health of the platform by developing the core, high-traffic backend services that shape feature delivery and strengthen the user experience. You will play a key role throughout the mobile ecosystem, from early discovery and technical planning through to release and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with a cross-functional group to ensure dependable delivery, smoother interactions, and stable performance at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy features for core, high-traffic backend services aligned to business expectations and company standards.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and engineering tasks, ensuring their timely implementation.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about current progress, potential blockers, and delays that might affect delivery.
  • Take responsibility for the deliverable's quality from both functional and non-functional perspectives.
  • Actively contribute to the stability and maintainability of the production environment.
  • Collaborate to continuously improve team processes and system performance, learning and following best practices along the way.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Solid foundation and relevant experience in Java, GoLang, or Scala.
  • Familiarity with the concepts of distributed systems.
  • Solid knowledge of GitHub.
  • Experience or strong exposure to building data-intensive applications.
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Kafka and Cassandra.
  • Experience with graph databases.
  • Experience with GRPC.
