Job Objective:

Prepare and serve meals for summer camps and rental groups.  Manage the meal program in the absence of the Food Services Supervisor.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, prepare, and serve meals in conjunction with Food Services.
  • Maintain a sanitary work environment
  • Monitor donations and other food and non-food inventory 
  • Help create and maintain a comfortable and respectful environment for guests 
  • Clean and properly arrange the freezer, cooler, and pantry on a weekly basis 
  • Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, report meal counts for the Summer Food Service Program.
  • Provide seasonal support as requested
  • Be available to work nights and weekends
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. 

 

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

 

Certifications:

  • Must have completed the Restaurant Servsafe Certification program or will complete within six (6) months of hire
  • Must have valid driver’s license and pass MVR requirements for Salvation Army insurance

Experience: One year food service experience

Compensation: $13.35-$16.69/hour, based on experience.
