Prep Cook - Senior Community

• To prepare food for service according to menu plans and standardized recipes in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

• → Demonstrates the ability to work in a kitchen where large quantities of food are prepared
• →Exhibits a caring and patient behavior towards residents
• →Monitors inventory control and supplies
• →Demonstrates the ability to use kitchen equipment
• → Demonstrates the ability to use general cleaning equipment and materials
• → Possess the ability to function as a team member
• → Prepares and portions food items as designated
• → Responsible for setting up the service line for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as preparing and serving meals to all residents.
• → Prepares food so that it is ready for service at a specified time.
• → Serves food in an efficient, timely and accurate manner during all meal periods.

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write and understand English language
•  Possess simple mathematical calculations; add, subtract, multiply and divide
•  Excellent team work skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Familiar with Health Department Regulations
• Previous experience working with the senior population preferred
• Strong background in food production and line serving

Minimum 3 years working in the food service industry Restaurant line cook experience preferred
