At this point, Zelh is looking for a Carrier Sales Representative to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for securing carrier capacity, negotiating freight rates, and ensuring seamless load execution from pickup to delivery. This is a fast-paced position ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic sales and operations environment.
Responsibilities

Pull loads from the internal load board and identify freight opportunities
- →
Sell loads to carriers from inbound leads or proactively source from your carrier network
- →
Negotiate competitive freight rates with carriers to secure capacity
- →
Coordinate load coverage and ensure trucks are booked for assigned shipments
- →
Communicate pickup and delivery times with carriers and arrange appointments
- →
Provide trucks with directions and necessary shipment documentation
- →
Track shipments and obtain regular status updates from carriers throughout transit
- →
Maintain strong relationships with carriers to build a reliable network
- →
Ensure timely communication with internal teams regarding load status and any issues
- →
Problem-solve and address any delays, route changes, or operational challenges
- →
Meet or exceed individual sales and performance metrics
- →
1-2 years of experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics (preferred)

Strong negotiation and sales skills
- →
Excellent verbal and written English communication
- →
Ability to multitask and manage multiple loads simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Confident phone presence for negotiating with carriers and coordinating logistics
- →
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle unexpected challenges

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven
- →
Comfortable working with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and load boards
- →
Team player with strong interpersonal skills

Working schedule: Mon - Fri, 9 AM - 5 PM EST with 1 hour break
