Senior Specialist, IT Operations

The IT Desktop Service specialist will be part of a team responsible for the following components of Regional IT services in Japan: desktop and mobile computing environments, mobility, Wide Area Networks and Local Area Networks, voice and data networking, and video and voice conferencing systems. 

Nihon Entegris is looking for a bilingual IT Desktop engineer to join our multinational team in Yamagata, Japan. 

• Resolve calls from end users of our multinational clients regarding technical issues and incidents in their everyday office IT infrastructure environment 
• Escalate incidents to the next support level where appropriate 
• Provide general application and device support when required 
• Coordinate multi-vendor hardware break-fix activities 
• Track, manage, and report on IT assets and knowledge base content 
• Perform annual PC and printer replacement tasks 
• Carry out upgrades, repairs, and modifications to existing systems, including replacement of components such as keyboards, monitors, and disks 
• Diagnose hardware problems and provide appropriate support. Install, test, and operate basic operating system software and standard applications

• At least three years of experience as an IT desktop engineer 
• Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills 
• Professional conduct, demeanor, and appearance 
• Understanding of helpdesk and desktop operations 
• A minimum of three years of employment experience supporting desktop equipment 
• Knowledge of desktop devices and environments, including PCs, IP phones, mobile devices, and printers 
• Native-level Japanese and basic English skills, approximately TOEIC 500-600 
• Experience providing remote support 
• Positive mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively within a global IT team

The successful candidate will primarily provide Level 2 support for day-to-day office IT infrastructure issues and incidents in both Japanese and English. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with enterprise-level experience as a bilingual desktop support engineer. 

主に、日本語と英語の両方で、日常的なオフィスITインフラの問題やインシデントに対するレベル2サポートを提供します。企業環境でバイリンガルのデスクトップサポートエンジニアとしての経験をお持ちの方に適したポジションです。 

Responsibilities  |  職務内容 

• 多国籍環境のエンドユーザーから寄せられる、日常的なオフィスITインフラの技術的問題やインシデントに関する問い合わせへの対応 
• 必要に応じてインシデントを上位のサポートレベルへエスカレーション 
• 必要に応じた一般的なアプリケーションおよびデバイスのサポート 
• 複数ベンダーにまたがるハードウェア障害への対応 
• IT資産およびナレッジベースの管理、追跡、レポート作成 
• 年次のPCおよびプリンター交換作業 
• 既存システムのアップグレード、修理、改修、およびキーボード、モニター、ディスクなどの部品交換 
• ハードウェア障害の診断と適切なサポートの提供。基本的なOSソフトウェアおよび標準アプリケーションのインストール、テスト、運用 

Qualifications  |  応募資格 

• ITデスクトップエンジニアとして3年以上の経験 
• 優れた電話応対およびカスタマーサービススキル 
• 行動、態度、身だしなみにおけるプロフェッショナリズム 
• ヘルプデスクおよびデスクトップ運用に関する理解 
• デスクトップ機器のサポート業務における3年以上の実務経験 
• PC、IP電話、モバイルデバイス、プリンターなど、デスクトップ機器および環境に関する知識 
• リモートサポートの経験 
• ネイティブレベルの日本語力、および基礎的な英語力（TOEIC 500～600点程度） 
• 前向きな姿勢、およびグローバルITチーム内で協調して働く力
