Not Your Average Kitchen Job.

Goldminer's Daughter Lodge is hiring a Winter Seasonal Pantry/Prep Cook at the base of Alta Ski Area for the 2026–27 season (mid-December 2026 through mid-April 2027). You will earn $15.25 per hour plus tips (original materials note an average around $19 per hour) and work full-time at about 40 hours per week.

This is a hands-on kitchen role focused on salads and desserts. You will help feed lodge guests and the crew while building real culinary experience in a fast-moving environment. The crew works hard and gets outside. You can make the most of a mountain winter before or after your shift-Alta is right outside the lodge doors.

• Prep ingredients and support a smooth-running kitchen.
• Focus on salads and desserts that go out to guests and staff.
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organized, and efficient during busy service.
• Learn kitchen flow and build practical culinary skills with room to grow.
• Work as part of a fun, hardworking crew in a fast-paced lodge setting.

What You Bring

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and move quickly on your feet.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Kitchen or dish experience is a plus, but energy and a solid work ethic matter most. We will train the right person.

On-site housing (space permitting) includes meals, WiFi, a ski-bus pass, and access to the fitness room, hot tub, and sauna, plus an Alta or Snowbird ski pass or an end-of-season payout option. First-year full-time employees who want to ski pay a $200 deposit; returning employees do not. Off-site employees receive meals on days worked plus the same amenities and pass/payout options.
