Commercial & Industrial Business Development Manager, Latin America within the Electrical Markets Division (EMD)

As the C&I BDM, you will play a key role in driving the C&I Playbook for the Electrical Markets Division in Latin America. In this role, you will help expand 3M’s presence in Latin America’s C&I electrical market by shaping regional growth priorities and turning strategy into execution across key countries. Working closely with commercial teams, you will support opportunity development, strengthen engagement with influential customers and industry stakeholders, and help advance business in high-potential segments such as renewables, data centers, mining, and infrastructure. Success in this position will require strong market insight, effective collaboration across teams, and the ability to translate customer and competitive intelligence into focused actions that deliver growth.
- Drive growth above market rates-macro in the C&I LATAM market, with a strong focus on key segments such as Renewables, Data Centers, Mining, and Infrastructure.
- Deploy and execute the Global C&I Playbook across LATAM countries and regions, including Brazil, Mexico, and South America (Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Argentina).
- Partner with sales teams to manage pipeline health and ensure effective end-to-end execution.
- Lead relationships with major key accounts in the sector and serve as a liaison with industry associations.
- Develop a deep understanding of C&I customers, competitors, and market trends
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the electrical markets industry or a related field in sales or marketing.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required; Portuguese is a plus.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Proven ability to influence and lead teams without direct supervision.
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience working with and leading global, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to leverage multiple sources of insight to develop strategies and implementation plans.
- Work Location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the Brazil or Mexico Office.
- Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
