In this Business Development Representative role, you will be the front line to our Enterprise prospects, driving interest in Absolute and initiating the sales cycle. In this role, you will collaborate with our Marketing and Account Executive teams to research and build a pipeline in new and existing accounts. You will follow up on both inbound and outbound leads across EMEA and India. Your exceptional communication and critical thinking skills will enable you to quickly assess opportunities and secure meetings with key account personas for our Account Executives. This role will be primarily focused on top-of-funnel activities — building relationships, opening doors, and generating interest among executive-level stakeholders. In addition, this individual will support the sales team with strategic sales initiatives and account coordination to help drive conversion and pipeline progression.

What You’ll Do

  • Generate and qualify leads, identifying prospects genuinely interested in our cybersecurity solutions
  • Prioritize and research prospects, understanding their current IT situation, challenges, and needs
  • Engage prospective clients via phone, email, and social media (LinkedIn) to convey Absolute’s unique value propositions
  • Schedule qualified meetings for Sales through cold calling and strategic outreach, converting them into pipeline opportunities
  • Build and prioritize strategic account lists within a defined segment
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop territory plans and target account strategies
  • Support sales cycles with research, call prep, and occasional participation in follow-up activities or RFP coordination
  • Build and maintain a working knowledge of target industry trends, pain points, and buyer personas
  • Foster alignment and positive partnerships with internal Field Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Assist in sales campaigns, ABM outreach, and special initiatives as needed
  • Participate in virtual and/or in-person events as needed
  • Utilize our CRM system (Salesforce) to log activity and lead conversion data for business transparency
  • Protect the security and privacy of Absolute and its customers
  • Other duties as assigned by management

What You’ll Bring 

  • Previous business development experience (3 years preferred) with a proven track record of consistently opening qualified opportunities that lead to revenue
  • Resilience and a fearless approach to challenges, particularly in objection handling
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers, prospects, and team members
  • Ambitious individuals eager to learn and contribute significantly to the business's continued success
  • Comfortable navigating complex organizations and working across functions
  • Experience in B2B lead generation, ideally within the cybersecurity space, is a bonus but not essential
