About the Role

Affinity Group Canada is seeking a results-driven Foodservice Account Manager to join our sales team. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, developing strong customer relationships, and executing client strategies within an assigned territory. The Foodservice Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between customers, distributors, and the manufacturers we represent, delivering exceptional service while identifying opportunities to grow sales and market share.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Sales Execution
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with restaurants, chain accounts, institutions, distributors, and other foodservice operators.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to new and existing customers.
  • Execute a minimum of four (4) sales calls per day, including product sampling activities.
  • Maximize sales opportunities across all represented client product portfolios.
  • Negotiate programs, pricing, and promotional opportunities with key accounts.
  • Support menu development and product application initiatives with end users. 
Distributor & Trade Engagement
  • Build and strengthen relationships with distributor partners and sales representatives.
  • Participate in distributor food shows, trade events, and industry activities.
  • Coordinate and support distributor promotions and sales initiatives.
  • Follow up promptly on distributor leads and customer opportunities.
  • Manage product sample requests and approvals as required.

Territory Planning & Business Development
  • Develop and execute territory plans that align with sales objectives and client priorities.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand market penetration.
  • Monitor competitive activity and provide market insights to management and clients.
  • Maintain effective territory coverage and customer engagement. 

Reporting & Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and submit required reporting on time.
  • Complete monthly territory planning and forecasting activities.
  • Monitor account performance and sales results against established goals.
  • Communicate regularly with sales leadership regarding opportunities, challenges, and priorities. 

Key Expectations

  • Build strong customer, distributor, and client relationships.
  • Maintain a consistent and professional field presence.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organization, communication, and follow-through.
  • Execute business plans with accountability, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Continually seek opportunities for personal and professional growth. 

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of foodservice sales, account management, distribution, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the foodservice operator and distributor landscape.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
