About the Role

  • Develop and execute a national sales and growth strategy to meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within industrial processing markets, including sectors such as sugar beet processing, rendering, and related industries.
  • Serve as a technical consultant to customers by recommending process optimization strategies, equipment selection, and system integration solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with plant managers, engineers, procurement leaders, and executive stakeholders.
  • Act as a key liaison between North American customers and international engineering/manufacturing teams to align on technical requirements, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Conduct on-site visits to evaluate operational challenges and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and ROI analyses in collaboration with internal engineering and operations teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and marketing teams across multiple geographies to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to maintain a strong market position.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.

What You Bring

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, including the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.
  • Demonstrated success managing global or cross-border customer relationships.
  • Proven track record in business development, contract negotiation, and closing complex technical sales.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar business software.
  • Ability to travel as needed throughout the upper Mid-West (Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota), occasional international trips

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical sales or business development of industrial process equipment.
  • Hands-on familiarity with plant operations, process flows, and equipment commissioning.
  • Direct experience in sugar beet processing, rendering, or comparable industrial processing industries is highly preferred.
