We seek an Account Executive to join our practice. This is a mid-level position where you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a broad range of proactive and reactive issues-oriented projects. In this role, you will support issues monitoring, reporting, and industry and public affairs research to arm the team with the best intel possible to secure the client’s desired outcomes successfully. You will also conduct industry monitoring to flag any trends, issues, and media coverage reports for clients, including during a crisis, to organize the team with necessary agendas, action items, and reports.
You will be deeply involved in crisis, reputation, and issues management situations requiring attention to detail and critical and analytical thinking skills. We seek an individual with prior experience, a strong interest in this field, and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support a range of corporate and crisis communications situations, including cybersecurity/ data breach issues, product safety issues and recalls, employee misbehavior, NGO campaigns, litigation, investigative reporting, and more.
- →Work with the team to develop and draft GAP analysis, crisis plans, media strategies, FAQs, memos, crisis simulations, and other deliverables.
- →Execute proactive media outreach and reactive media relations strategies.
- →Assist in providing strategic counsel on messaging and communications to help inform client strategies and recommendations.
- →Execute issues management and crisis campaigns for clients.
- →Execute public affairs, advocacy, and education campaigns for clients.
- →Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client affairs and trends to counsel clients on breaking news and socially or culturally sensitive topics.
- →Support the development of crisis response strategies, reactive statements, FAQs, and other deliverables as needed.
- →Produce monthly or weekly reports outlining key activities and initiatives.
- →Provide analysis on key issues that are critical to a client’s needs.
- →Promote and uphold Allison’s core values; participate in agency-wide training and professional development programs.
Requirements
~1 min read- Account Executives at Allison typically have a minimum of 2+ years of experience.
- Crisis communications background and understanding of corporate communications and issues management best practices.
- Experienced media relations strategist and practitioner with top-tier media relations experience
- Thrives under pressure and can handle multiple projects in a demanding, deadline-oriented environment.
- Exercises exceptional judgment when working with clients, team members, and vendors.
- A strategist that communicates analytically and persuasively both orally and in writing
- Big picture perspective and adept at solving problems and resolving conflicts.
- Comfortable and knowledgeable working in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel alongside Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to take direction, ask clarifying questions, and follow through on required deadlines.
- Proficiency in using media monitoring and data analytics tools like Muckrack, Critical Mention, Meltwater, and Cision.
- Proficiency in using Adobe, Canva, and other design tools.
