Group 1 Toyota Southwest Houston is growing and looking to add a driven Automotive Sales Consultant to our team!
We’re seeking candidates with a proven track record in direct, customer-facing sales. Success in this role requires consistency, coachability, and a commitment to mastering the sales process over time.
This is not a short-term opportunity; top earners in automotive sales build their success through experience, skill development, and long-term growth within the dealership.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Demonstrate vehicles by explaining features, benefits, and warranties; conduct test drives and compare competitive models
- →Prospect daily for new customers and maintain relationships with previous buyers
- →Maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
- →Implement follow-up systems to encourage repeat and referral business
- →Stay informed on product updates, inventory, and accessories to better serve customers
- →Set and achieve personal sales goals aligned with dealership standards
Requirements
~1 min read- Proven customer-facing sales experience required, (automotive experience is nice, but we hire for attitude, drive, and professionalism)
- Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset
- Experience handling phone leads and Internet inquiries is a strong plus
- Strong desire to succeed in a commission-driven, performance-based environment
- Positive attitude with a high-energy personality
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record
