To plan, prepare and serve meals to clients and residents that come to The Salvation Army for Soup Kitchen or shelter.

• →Prepare all morning and lunch meals. This includes, but is not limited to: Soup Kitchen, Shelter meals, Youth Program, Special Community Meals, Advisory Board lunch, Summer Food Program.
• →Maintain Kitchen and kitchen office/storage areas.
• →Maintain inventory of food supplies and paper goods.
• →Provide Corps Officer with list of needed supplies for approval.
• →Maintain, organize and clean food storage area.
• →Supervise volunteers and shelter chores for food service work and clean-up.
• →Ability to plan and produce balanced meals.
• →Strong communication and organizational skills
• →Ability to work autonomously and multi-task
• →Good assessment skills and ability to address difficult situations with authority and compassion
• →A love and compassion for individuals seeking assistance from The Salvation Army
• →Supervise volunteers to ensure proper procedures are followed.
• →Supervise shelter residents in clean-up.

• →High School Diploma or GED
• →Previous experience in commercial kitchen and/or preparation and execution of large feeding program

• Current Ohio driver’s license
• Ability to pass OTIS test and drive a 12-passenger van
• Must be insurable by The Salvation Army
