Meadowview of Johnston and Meadowview of Clive, Cassia senior communities, are hiring a Full-Time, self-motivated, creative Business Development and Sales Specialist for our Assisted Living campuses. The Business Development and Sales Specialist identifies, researches, and cultivates referral sources to drive leads for Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living. They build strong professional relationships, represent the communities at events, and execute outreach strategies that highlight the value of Meadowview of Johnston and Meadowview of Clive. Working closely with the Sales Team, they support occupancy growth through coordinated follow‑up, personal tours, in‑home visits, and consistent CRM‑based reporting.
Position Type: Part-Time position working a varied schedule including weekends
Location: 3300 Berkshire Pkwy, Clive, IA 50325
Business Development and Sales Specialist responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and prioritize referral sources across healthcare, senior services, and community organizations to generate qualified leads for Assisted Living and Memory Care.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key decision‑makers, using a consultative approach to understand needs and present tailored community solutions.
- Partner closely with Sales Teams at each community to align outreach strategies, share referral activity, and support occupancy growth goals.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external business development events, networking activities, sponsorships, and educational engagements.
- Conduct personal tours, in‑home visits, and creative follow‑up strategies to support the Site Sales Director in converting leads and increasing occupancy.
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation, including referral tracking, activity reporting, lead progression, and weekly business plans.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities and inform outreach strategies.
- Represent the community at industry events, conferences, and local organizations to expand brand presence and strengthen referral pipelines.
- Knowledge of community outreach strategies and techniques with a proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse referral partners, including seniors and their families.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively articulate the value proposition of senior living with a variety of audiences.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Empathy, patience, and compassion for seniors and their families navigating the transition to senior living.
