Emerald Crest, a part of Cassia, is looking for an HR Manager to support their three memory care communities in Burnsville, Minnetonka, and Shakopee. 

In this role, you will support employees and leaders across all three Emerald Crest communities, serving as a trusted resource for HR, payroll, benefits, onboarding, and employee relations. You’ll partner with managers to create a positive employee experience while helping ensure HR processes run smoothly and consistently across each location.

Position Type: Full-Time

Wage Range: $68,000 - $76,000 annually depending on experience

Locations:
Burnsville: 451 East Travelers Trail, Burnsville, MN 55337
Shakopee: 1855 10th Avenue West, Shakopee, MN 55379
Minnetonka:13401 Lake Street Extension, Minnetonka, MN 55305-4905

Human Resources Manager responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department managers to interview as needed and send out job offers.
  • Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires including background checks, references, license verifications and communication with new hires.
  • Schedule and assist with new hire orientation.
  • Answer employee questions regarding HR, benefits, payroll and leave of absence.
  • Process new hire and termination paperwork.
  • Coordinate benefits and process enrollments, changes, and terminations for all benefit plans in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Work with staff and managers to administer HR policies (i.e. leave of absence, workers compensation, OSHA, pay policies) and employee retention.
  • Manage unemployment claims.
  • Record, maintain, and update employee information in payroll/HRIS system and employee files.
  • Will help/ be the backup for the day-to-day payroll related items and processing bi-weekly payroll.
  • Oversee online training compliance.
  • Ensure performance evaluations are completed
  • Other duties as assigned.
Human Resources Manager qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources including payroll responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
  • Experience using payroll and HR software; UKG experience a plus!
  • Knowledge of Leave of Absence and Workers Compensation.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local HR and payroll laws and regulations
  • Ability to work at various senior living communities
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize tasks as needed
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding employee information
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
