Reporting to the Sales Director, you will lead and support our internal sales teams whilst working closely with external sales, operations, finance and logistics to deliver outstanding results for our customers.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future development of the internal sales function, driving continuous improvement, consistency and collaboration across both locations.

About You:

As a collaborative and hands-on manager, you will be equally comfortable supporting your teams, analysing commercial performance and working with stakeholders across the business to drive continuous improvement.

You will be customer-focused, commercially aware and highly organised, with the ability to motivate teams, maintain high service standards and build strong working relationships at all levels.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience leading, coaching or mentoring sales teams;
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of sales performance drivers;
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills;
  • Experience using CRM and ERP systems to manage sales activity and performance;
  • The ability to analyse performance data and implement improvement initiatives;
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving;
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between Harworth and Montrose.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and support internal sales teams across Harworth and Montrose;
  • Drive a customer-focused, performance-led sales culture;
  • Deliver coaching, development plans and structured performance reviews;
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities;
  • Ensure quotations, enquiries and orders are handled accurately and efficiently;
  • Drive quote-to-order conversion rates and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities;
  • Support pricing strategies and ensure compliance with agreed margins and commercial terms;
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure positive customer outcomes;
  • Work closely with external sales, operations, finance and logistics teams to support customer delivery;
  • Drive collaboration and consistency across both internal sales units;
  • Promote best practice and high standards of customer service;
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and customer interactions;
  • Promote accurate and consistent use of CRM and ERP systems;
  • Support wider commercial initiatives and sales planning activities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and people development skills;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities;
  • Commercially minded with a focus on delivering results;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Willingness to travel regularly between company locations.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package;
  • The opportunity to lead and develop established sales teams within a respected industry leader;
  • Ongoing professional and leadership development opportunities;
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment;
  • The opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and success of Certex UK.
