The role

We're looking for a Sales Director to own and drive Encord's US revenue growth — navigating complex sales cycles with mid-market and enterprise tech businesses, from fast-growing startups to Fortune 500s. You'll be one of the first quota-carriers at one of the fastest-growing AI tooling startups, working directly alongside the co-founders and leadership team. When successful, you'll have the opportunity to build out the US commercial team.

  • Run the engine for our US revenue growth — learning how to take a product to market and scale to $millions in ARR by actually doing it
  • Navigate complex sales cycles with the world's leading mid-market and enterprise tech businesses
  • Manage your sales pipeline, close deals, and work with our Head of US Sales on GTM strategy as we expand our ideal customer profile
  • Become the best person in the company at explaining and pitching our product
  • Represent Encord at events, manage our most senior relationships in region, and step up across marketing, community, onboarding, and whatever else needs to be done
  • Build and maintain close relationships across product, engineering, and customer success — helping shape our roadmap and experiencing first-hand how great products and businesses are built
  • Grow to manage a geography, sector, or team within your first 12 months
  • You're ambitious, competitive, and energised by working hard and solving challenging problems — you want to rise faster than would be possible in any normal career
  • You're entrepreneurial and want to be part of building a business, not just executing within one
  • You have good commercial intuition and the ability to build rapport, influence people, and drive change — whether with a distinguished exec or a junior operator
  • You want to become exceptional at sales and are looking for a company that can offer you real growth and learning opportunities
  • You've consistently performed in the top percentile of whatever environment you've been in — academia, business, sport, or sales
  • 7–12 years of experience succeeding in GTM roles in B2B SaaS, with several years as a high-performing quota carrier
  • Proven track record closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with mid-market and enterprise accounts
  • Ability to sell to senior technical leadership (e.g. CTOs) or the hunger to develop that skill quickly
