People and Culture Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced People & Culture Manager to join our Toronto studio. This role is ideal for a strategic HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced, people and performance-driven environment and is passionate about creating exceptional employee experiences.
As a key member of our People & Culture team, you will partner closely with business leaders, coaches, employees and Studio Partner to support DIALOG's continued success as a leading design practice. You will develop a deep understanding of our business, strategic priorities, and drivers of success while serving as a trusted advisor on talent, culture, and organizational effectiveness.
You will play a critical role in enabling a high-performing, inclusive, and engaging workplace by helping unlock the potential, creativity, and passion of our people. Working as part of a collaborative, geographically distributed People & Culture team, you will lead strategic talent initiatives for designated client groups while serving as the primary People & Culture partner for the Toronto studio.
Success in this role requires a strong combination of business partnership expertise, talent management experience, and a genuine passion for building culture and fostering employee engagement. Build trusted relationships with Partners, leaders, and coaches serving as a strategic advisor and collaborator on people strategies that support business goals and reflect DIALOG's values of diversity, aspiration, optimism, and collaboration.

Partner with the Studio Chair and Studio Operations Manager to align people's priorities, strengthen team effectiveness, and foster an engaging, flexible, and community-centered studio culture where employees can thrive and perform at their best.

Partner with the Toronto studio as a strategic People & Culture advisor, providing guidance to leaders on employee relations, performance, development, engagement, and workplace experience, while collaborating closely with the local People & Culture team on day-to-day employee needs.

Champion and deliver firm-wide talent strategies and programs for assigned discipline-based client groups, including talent acquisition, performance development, succession planning, talent reviews, workforce planning, and retention initiatives.

Collaborate with People & Culture colleagues, Studio Partners, and leaders across DIALOG to continuously strengthen DIALOG's integrated interdisciplinary practice and employer brand at both local and national levels.

Partner with employees and leaders to identify opportunities to enhance employee experience. Gather feedback and translate insights into meaningful actions that support engagement, inclusion, and belonging.

Lead local employee engagement and culture-building initiatives, including studio-based events, recognition activities, and community-building opportunities that strengthen connections and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Use people data, insights, and metrics to identify trends, inform decisions, and support leaders in creating high-performing and healthy teams.

A strategic, and results-oriented HR professional with progressive experience in HR, ideally including business partnering or a similar advisory role, and a demonstrated ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility.

An effective relationship builder who establishes credibility and trust with leaders, employees, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Experienced in talent management, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, organizational development, and employee engagement.

A proactive self-starter who is comfortable working independently, exercising sound judgment, and managing multiple priorities while collaborating closely with a broader team.

Passionate about creating exceptional employee experiences and fostering inclusive, high-performing workplace cultures.

Skilled in coaching leaders, facilitating discussions, leading workshops, and influencing outcomes through strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable analyzing data and translating insights into practical recommendations and meaningful actions.

Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to coordinate priorities across diverse stakeholder groups ranging from senior leaders to early-career professionals and external partners.

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields. A CHRP designation, or progress toward one, is considered an asset
